Ingredients

  • Two red bell peppers.
  • Two tablespoons of olive oil.
  • One and a half kilograms of shoulder meat, boneless and cut into large pieces.
  • Twenty grams of butter.
  • Six cloves of crushed garlic.
  • Ahead of fennel, cut into slices.
  • Two hundred grams of fresh mushrooms, cut into four pieces.
  • Two cups of meat broth.
  • Two hundred grams of spinach, coarsely chopped.
  • A teaspoon of black pepper.
  • Half a tablespoon of salt.

Method of preparation

  1. Cut the pepper into four parts, remove the seeds and the white vein.
  2. Roast the peppers so that the outer peel is directed to the fire until black bubbles form on the peel.
  3. Peel it and cut it into thick slices, and put half the amount of oil in a large frying pan.
  4. Put it on the fire, and when the oil heats up, add the pieces of meat, and stir from time to time until the meat is browned, and remove it from the pan.
  5. Add the rest of the oil and butter to the pan, and when the oil is hot, add the garlic, fennel, mushrooms, pepper, and salt.
  6. Stir until the fennel is soft and return the meat to the skillet.
  7. Add the grilled pepper, the broth, and when the mixture boils, cover the pan and leave it over low heat for an hour, or until the meat is cooked.
  8. Add the spinach, and leave the pan over the heat until the spinach wilts.
